Just thought I'd let you know that I've managed to get home.
I can't thank you and Brigitte enough for the hospitality and warmth you both showed me. I was a total stranger, but was made to feel so welcome.
I have come back with a lot of good memories and new friends, which I consider to be just about perfect.
I hope the tidying wasn't too tedious and that you are both enjoying some well earned quiet time.

I am fully unpacked, washed everything including the DB7, loaded some Assen photos on FB (I know you are not interesting Ian!) and checked on my mother so basically back in the groove.

Sorry for the late e-mail, things have been manic since returning from the tour, but I just wanted to thank you both for your outstanding hospitality on our late arrival at your motorcycle heaven. It was truly a pleasure to meet you both and the potato soup prepared by Brigitte was a savoury delight!
As you are aware Howard, Paul and I had some great riding the following week and I was disappointed that I was unable to return for the farewell ride, however I can assure you that I will be back, if I can pull my finger out and get some time in my workshop, maybe I’ll be on my SB6R next time, until then I wish you both well and every success.

Thank you and Brigitte very much for organising the weather, the tour, the hotel, the cat .... all went very well in the end after the very slow start by the travelers!

I really enjoyed the whole thing other than me 'running out of steam' on Sunday but fully fit for the drive home.

The Furano is back in the garage without a problem, the DB7 is still there, my mom is still alive and Liz has fed my tomato plants!

back from a truly memorable week in Germany in the company of so many wonderful people. Top of the list - Ian and Brigitte - the hosts with the mosts. Not many pics as I spent too much time riding, eating and drinking. Ian very kindly gave me the 851 to play with.

Big thanks to Andrew for his company on the journey down and back and throughout the entire week.
We are already planning next years visit - you should too - you won't be disappointed!

Many thanks for the wonderful time we all had on the trip that you recently arranged for us.
The ride-outs were terrific and we were all very pleased with the way you linked in local sites with the local biking scene.

Our trip to the Nurburgring was especially good, particularly as it was a place I had been wanting to see for a long time.

For me the icing on the cake was the Schottonring old Timers weekend as I am very much into my old classic racing bikes.

Please also pass on our thanks to Brigitte for the excellent meals and cakes that she provided Good food, good beer and especially good biking.

whilst we had a good ride from the ring we actually continued all the way back home not bothering to stop overnight in France.
