As the next biggest thing in Westerfeld was just about to start: the local flea market, it seemed right to go for a ride in Spessart.
Get some bikes out.

First a few highway miles to get to Seligenstadt where we crossed the Main river on a ferry and then it's straight out into Spessart.
Here's a few minutes of the run over the Horstein hill; a tricky and narrow road but lots of fun. 6 min 6 seconds
The Engländer was quite busy, with all kinds of bikes there.
There was even another Bimota, a YB9, exactly like the one that Andrew has back home.
Garry, Jürgen, Günter, Andrew and I enjoyed the chance for a stop and a chat before carrying on to the more sweeping roads of the Spessart area.
Is it a pattern that the English ride Italian bikes and the Germans rides English bikes?

Jürgen with his Triumph Daytona 1200 left us southwards half way through the afternoon to get back to their homes.
Another short film of the Ducati on the Jacobs valley road leading to the Engländer pub, 6km of narrow winding tarmac with sharp drops on the right side in places. The road was only paved a few years ago, before that it was a loose stone track and still doesn't have any white center lines although traffic passes both ways. Best to be careful, but it's very smooth and benefits from the shade of the trees on such a sunny day. 6 min 39 seconds
