Peter came over from Cologne just as we were finishing the 851 maintenace, which meant that we could all go out for a ride together.
Peter has several Ducatis including an 851, but this time he had brought his Monster S4 with him.

Clearances for the exhaust valves front and rear were spot on as hoped and expected.
Which means I can wait until next year to make a more thorough check on all valves.

Timing belts were also replaced.
The previous owner had had them changed before selling the bike. But it's always a good idea to keep them fresh on the 4 valve motors.
And as Yannick was visiting, it was a great opportunity to see him working.
