Practical sportsbikes Dec 2013

We were recently asked to provide information for an article in Practical sportsbikes magazine about the restoration and maintenance of the Bimota YB4, recomended reading of course.
For the article they wanted a photo with both of us beside the bike. Here are the photos that they didn't use.
This bike will shortly be up and running for use on the tours in 2014.

Paint

I needed to have the YB4 looking good as a backdrop for filming, but with only a couple of days available the body repairs were made and a quick paint job done.

Our YB4 was bought (saved) in quite poor condition, the previous owner wanted to change to carburetors but did not get the job finished. Also the bike had been painted monotone white, which reminds one of Peter Rubattos Superbike racer but we prefer to get the fibreglass repaired and painted back to original colouring. That is a very big job itself which will be also very rewarding.
