2013 will be the 25th anniversary of the Schottenring oldtimers Grand Prix, so we're expecting something special to be laid on. Whatever happens it will be as brilliant as ever.

Dates: August 17th and 18th 2013

we won't be missing it.

It's only about 80 something km to Schotten depending on the route, we took mostly the country roads of couse. When we arrived and parked about 100m from the circuit.

A very colourful and impressive line up, made just perfect with the sun shinning through the shade of the trees

Perfect.

Right near by; another Bimota DB2, which has been modified with a Ducati 900SS top fairing and Superbike style handlebars. I can imagine it's really good to ride on some of the tight roads around here.

Just a little bit further down the path was a nice 600 Pantah, which are getting very rare to see these days.

Better get some refreshments too, pommes (chips) with mayonaise and a beer.

Then just follow the noise towards the circuit, it goes all around the town so it's imposssible not to find a good place to watch.

Followed by Bruno Egloff on a 1928 480cc Motosacoche and Hansueli Hug on a 1929 500cc Rudge Ulster.

So much to see when you walk around, such as this nicely patinered 1928 Velocette KTS from Werner Wolff with bevel driven overhead camshaft and TT winners tank logo.

Cool looking BMW solo with road registration nearby.

And an impressive 1929 1000cc JAP engined FHF owned by Peter Feederle.

And everywhere you look something different, like this 1981 LCR Yamaha sidecar of Albert Griesemann and Stefan Schröder.

Here's the 1967 Moto Guzzi V7 sidecar outfit of Hans-Rainer and Andreas Huth.

Over in the pit 'field' a 1928 530cc Motosacoche C50A owned by Klaus Hürlimann, just getting the last maintenance before it's turn back on the track.

The 1957 498cc Manx 30 Norton of Rudolf Seydewitz gets protection from the sun with some damp towels. I think many of the visitors wished they could have the same treatment.

Real 'class' in my (English) opinion, the 1962 Norton Manx 500 of Christian Mangold, the 1961 Norton 350 of Dieter Bingel and the 1957 500cc Gilera Saturno Corsa of Guiseppe Lucchinetti in the background left.

This is slightly more respectable, Dominik Horvath on his 1960 AJS 7R and Richard Johnston on his 1958 Norton Manx 348 prepare to go out onto the circuit with the 1950 to 1967 up to 350cc class.
