One of those great occassions when we need to slot in another attraction for the day!
Give Kurt a call, not expecting but just wondering if he would have the time to show us into his little private collection.
And as he most usually does: ohhhhhh, be here in two hours !
And once again full of excitement we plan how to be there right on time.

The first part of his private collection that he shows us is the barn with an enormous variety of bikes, various machines and other artifacts that he has collectd over the years.
Then it starts to get serious as we may enter a hall with some of his dearest classic bikes including some racers mostly from NSU.
But others with some deep personal attachment with endless stories to accompany them if only you ask, 'how did you find this, Kurt?'

Nearly all the complete bikes in the collection are runners but might need a check over after Kurt recently stopped to show the bikes outside.

In the attic room still some treasures to be found such as this Imme (bee) with its' single sided front and rear suspension as well as the exhaust exhiting through the swing arm.

The second to final room to see is the Vincent C series room with a huge variety of C series Vincents including a Grey Flash and . .

Two Eglis, a single and a twin.

An inteloper Rob North Triumph Trident racer alongside the Comet trials bike.

Only three of these were made by the factory, purely for competition.

Even a battered Norvin racer has a place here.

And finally Kurt shows us his highlight, the Black Lightening which is one of maybe only 6 left in the world from an original production of only 16 units.

A pleasure always and hope to be able to come back soon for some of Kurts' refreshing anecdotes as well as my Vincent 'fix'.

You don't get away though until you have seen the workshop with a couple of bikes that Kurt is still working on.

And yet more NSUs which haven't yet found a place in one of the upper galleries of the barn.
