Local collectors' worlds biggest Vincent museum.
Behind this armoured door is the entrance to a fascinating and very special private collection not too very far from THE CRANKCASE. in Germany.
Apparantly it's the biggest Vincent 'museum' in the world !
It is certainly one of the most interesting and comprehensive even if Kurt only collects series C Vincents !
But he doesn't only collect Vincents, they make up only a small part of what he has built up over many many years.
Read on to see just a few of the treasures that he kindly shows and explains to visitors.
A Honda CB750 that has been used for years for long distance touring and one of many NSUs in the collection.
A Honda CB750 engine previously mounted in a sidecar racing outfit.
Bicycle from the 2nd world war still mounted with a panzerfaust anti tank rocket among dozens of curiosities.
A hall of German motorcycling history.
Toys and memorabillia line the walls everywhere you look.
A swiss Universal in this reconstructed workshop.
One of many racing NSUs.
One of the highlights is this NSU Rennmax.
signed by John Surtees on the hand beaten aluminium fairing.
The remains of an AJS 7R racer.
Kurt takes us through one more room, filled with racing bikes that he has been associated with.
Another passion is the NSU Quick of which he has most of the rarest versions.
An Imme in the attic !
A two man Army chainsaw for clearing the way for the advancing armies.
An extra room is furnished with much of Phil Irvings actual furniture from his office at the Vincent factory, complete with drawing board and blue prints.
Two rooms dedicated to Vincents including several Egli versions.
A well used racing Norvin.
Egli Black Shadow.
One of only 6 Black Lightnings, this one in original and running condition is the highlight of the whole collection.
One more workshop with again a multitude of makes and models awaiting Kurts attention.
A Wanderer frame and tank hanging from the rafters.
Kurt is also down to earth enough to put an NSU engine in a Honda frame to make a nice fun racing bike.
